Base mode (always active)

One life, no auction house, no bank, no mail and no interaction with regular players. +50% damage taken.

Additional modifiers

Permanent PvP

Your PvP flag is always on. Any player of the opposing faction can attack you anywhere in the world.

Solo levelling

You cannot join a party or a raid. Just you and Azeroth.

Crafted gear only

You may only equip items created by professions.

Common gear only

You cannot equip anything above common quality (greens, blues and so on).

No talent resets

Learned talents cannot be reset. Choose your tree wisely.

No vendors

You cannot buy items from vendor NPCs. Hunters are still allowed to buy arrows and bullets.

No mounts

Mounts of any kind are forbidden. On foot and by flight path only.

Half experience

Experience from mobs and quests is cut exactly in half.

Survival mode

No auction house, no mail and no trading with other players. Fully self-sufficient.

Starter weapon only

Only the weapon you received at character creation is allowed. No upgrades.

Death system

Permanent death

When your character dies it is deleted for good. You are kicked from the server and all character data is wiped from the database. Scripted quest deaths do not count.

Global death alert

When a hardcore character dies, every player on the server receives a notification with the name, level, zone and cause of death.

Disconnect protection

On login a hardcore character gets 10 seconds of full immunity (Ice Block) to protect against a crash or a disconnect.

Additional restrictions

No battlegrounds and no LFG

Hardcore characters cannot queue for battlegrounds or the Dungeon Finder (LFG).

Quest rates x1

Quest experience for hardcore characters is always x1, regardless of the server rates.

Hardcore channel

On login a hardcore character is joined automatically to the Hardcore chat channel to talk with other players running the mode.

Hardcore mode is chosen at character creation with the One Chance button. The choice cannot be undone. Death Knights cannot be hardcore characters.

Launcher and client

Important!

Playing on Valor requires our custom client. A regular WoW 3.3.5a client will not work — the server runs modified game files.

⚠️ Open beta starts on 16 March at 16:00 MSK. The client may be updated during testing. The open beta ends 1-2 days before release.

A matter of principle on Valor

The server enforces an absolute ban on buying and selling gear, gold, items and any services for real money — on the black market and the white market alike.

Black market No real-money deals between players. A Black Market system does not exist and never will — that is a matter of principle.

White market Selling gear or gold through any marketplace, forum, Discord server or private arrangement is just as forbidden.

Every player on Valor earns everything with their own hands. No amount of money buys an advantage — only skill, time and persistence. That is what makes progress here genuinely worth something.

Punishment: permanent ban Both sides of the deal — buyer and seller alike, GMs included — receive a permanent ban with no appeal and no chance of account recovery.
